We survived Babies'R'us

Today, after watching Tennessee blow their first round game in the NCAA Tournament against Oklahoma State, we went to Babies'R'us to register. We had heard horror stories about this event. Couples who were so overwhelmed with the magnitude of everything that was needed for their future son/daughter that after awhile they just had to leave, only to deal with it another day.

In preparation for this, we sat down last night and went over two lists of items we needed for the children. One list was from our doctor and the other was from Babies'R'us. We went over these lists and got ideas on what we wanted and needed. For items that we had to be very careful about our selection, bottles, car seats, etc., we researched these on consumer reports and other websites. This wound up to be a terrific help to us.

We arrived at the store around 3:30. They gave us a scanner and we went to work. After an hour, one of us had to relax from all of our work. The glider that she set down on to relax wound up to be the one we registered for.

We went through most aisles and areas of the store. We finished registering at 6 PM. 2 and a half hours. But, we finished.

Tomorrow, car shopping. Wish us luck.

Choo Choo Trains!

We thought we would share with you the patterns that we have picked out for the boys' bedrooms. We are doing a train theme in both bedrooms, but different patterns in each. See the pictures below for the crib quilt for each bedroom. We will definitely post pictures of the rooms in a few months once they start coming together!

More Good News

In the past week, we have seen both our regular OB and the perinatologist. At the perinatologist meeting this past Wednesday, we had around an hour long ultrasound where we examined and measured several parts of each twin's body. And the best news is that we got a good results from both of them!!!

Yesterday, we went to visit Heather's OB clinic and saw her regular OB. We had a quick ultrasound and then talked to the doctor about several questions we wanted to ask. Again, we had good results from the ultrasound and doctor visit.

We don't have another appointment for 3 weeks.

In the meantime, we will begin prepartion for a big weekend. This weekend, we will celebrate the Wolfpack winning the ACC Tournament, its first since 1987.

We need names for two

After we announced that we were pregnant, Craig's co-workers wanted to help Heather and I come up with some names for the twins. Initially, we received many boys and girls names, and some that could be used for either gender.

A few years ago, when a co-worker became pregnant, I filled up her white board with several names, of which some are very interesting and unique. So, when Heather and I became pregnant, I knew that payback was coming. But I had no idea at what as about to happen.

I have a white board in my office and she has listed several names such as:

Boubacar DeVault
Bell Biv DeVault
Philip Rivers DeVault
David Thompson DeVault
Prince Michael DeVault
Kdale Ktown DeVault
Stealin DeVault
Baibai Gawlfswang DeVault

However, that wasn't enough for my group. We have a white board in our hallway that in the previous few months became where people would put trivia questions or funny sayings, drawings, etc. on it. It became sort of a creativity board. This board is much bigger. It quickly has become the DeVault baby names board. The title of the board is called:

Suggested names for the DeVault Twin Boys

Here are two pictures of this board (from different angles). These pics are taken with an IPhone.

After a while, the board filled up. Then shockingly, one day I came to work and started laughing. There were now 2 additional boards placed together underneath the main white board. To this day, I don't know who put them there. However, it made me laugh. These boards are now almost full as well. Here is a good look at these two boards:

After looking at these, please let us know what some of your favorites are. My favorites are:

Open and Close DeVault
Bob and not Bob DeVault
Heir and Two Minutes too Late DeVault
Harold and Kumar DeVault
Bo and Luke DeVault
George and Barry DeVault
Zack and Slater DeVault
Ricky Bobby and Walker, Texas Ranger DeVault
Wolf and Pack DeVault
Itchy and Scratchy DeVault
Tim and Taylor DeVault
Smokey and Bandit DeVault

What are yours?
